World Wide Web

The World Wide Web (www) is one of the most popular services of the internet. WWW is a huge collection of pages of information linked to each other around the globe on various topics. The World Wide Web has been central to the development of the Information Age and is the primary tool billions of people use to interact on the Internet It allows to user to exchange and share data through the internet using a protocol known as a Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The can be a combination of text, pictures, audio clips video clips, animations and other electronically presentable materials.

Web Server

A web server is a computer that delivers web pages. The web sites are stored in web servers. To access the web pages of a web server, a client computer has to use a HTTP. Simply, the webpage it the electronic document or software collection of related information found in Internet. A web page may have many hyperlinks to open others liked pages.

Website

A collection of interlinked web pages of a organization, government agency, university, personal, company etc is known as website. Each website is identified by the unique Internet address know as Uniform Resource Locator (ULR). After connecting the Internet, we have to search power computer called web servers which can be accessed by various Internet Users across the world.

URL

URL Stands for Uniform Resource Locator, the unique Internet address through which we can visit different websites. URLs are used to address and access individual web pages and web contents. For example www.pritamdangl.com.np/submitmyproject

The main or first page a website which gives detailed information on the owner and provides links to its other parts is called home page. A home page is the initial page someone sees when he opens up website on the Internet. Every website, regardless of what type of site is has a home page. It is also known as index page.

Web Browser
Web browser is a software or program that accesses web page and displays them on the user’s computer form around the world. In another term, is software required for browsing and surfing web sites. It also allows user to retrieve, view and copy information using Internet. Some common web browsers are: Internet Explorer, Safari, Google chrome, Firefox, opera mini etc.
